Ascent is the literary and arts magazine of Jamestown High School. It serves as a forum for student expression. Staff members and editors are volunteers working as an after-school club. Any JHS student may apply to be a staff member by seeing Mrs. Beckhusen. Any students in grades 9-12 at JHS may submit art or literature for consideration. Artists may submit work to any Jamestown art teacher and writers may submit work to any English teacher. There is no limit to the number of pieces an artist or writer may submit; however, not all submissions will be accepted for publication.
