The sun continues to rise even when it rains 

Albeit slowly and unfocused 

But it does. 

 

The moon continues to rise even when enshrouded by clouds 

Albeit dimly and hidden 

But it does. 

 

The new father magpie builds his nest 

Although some branches stick out in strange places 

And sometimes they don’t cross in the spaces 

But he continues. 

 

The child takes the test 

Although she studied and slept early 

She did her best and that’s all that matters 

She is well deserving of grace and rest 

She continues. 

 

The tree had lost leaves in the wind 

But he knows he’ll grow new buds in spring 

And the flowers will return  

He continues growing
